Caribbean Cup Roatan Freediving Competition 2015

Freediving or Free Diving is a form of underwater diving that relies on divers’ ability to hold their breath until resurfacing rather than on the use of a breathing apparatus such as scuba gear.  Recently, Roatan hosted the Caribbean Cup Freediving Competition where free divers pushed their minds and bodies to incredible depths.

Watch this informative video to learn how the world’s best freedivers use their skill,  adventure and, yes, the insanity, of the sport.   It is an intense, isolating pursuit, that the RoatanTravelNetwork has masterfully captured.
